Today is World Refugee Day, a day that we honor the struggle of refugees globally. Watoto Read is committed to providing hope to refugees through education.
Watoto Read launched Amina's Dream Project to focus on eliminating barriers to girls' education. Lack of menstrual health supplies is a common barrier to education for girls across Africa. We're so grateful for the opportunity to support these girls in their education!
In 2021, Watoto Read partnered with Days For Girls to provide 21,000 menstrual health kits to support girls' education in refugee camps in Chad. In March 2022, they arrived!
