Host an Educational Event
We have realized that these children’s situation is worsened by the fact that people have not
heard their story. Help create awareness by hosting an educational event at your church,
school, or home. This will help more people learn about the refugee situation in Chad and how
JRS and Watoto Read are meeting needs, improving lives, and helping the children. We
will provide you with educational materials and would be willing to join or even cohost with you.

Become a Sewing Partner for Amina’s Dream Project
Are you blessed with a gift of sewing and you wish to use it for a good cause? Then Amina’s
Dream Project (ADP) is calling you! Amina’s Dream Project, or ADP, is Watoto Read’s initiative
to keep middle and high school refugee girls in school by providing them with menstrual hygiene
products. Currently, a good number of these girls drop out of school when their periods start
because they have no way to care for themselves during their menstruation. Please join a
Watoto Read sewing team (ADP Team), or start your own, and help keep these girls in school.
Watoto Read will provide all of the instructions and training you need. If you already have a
sewing group and are interested in Amina’s Dream Project as a new initiative, we would be
happy to organize a presentation for your entire team.
If you are not a sewer, there are jobs for non-sewers which include cutting, ironing, or
organizing materials! We are also accepting fabric, hotel sized soaps, and girls cotton
underwear. If you are interested in supporting Amina’s Dream Project in any of these ways,
please click here to request more information.
